On Being a Good Steward

One of my goals was to be a good steward of my little world. And one BIG problem for me is cluttter.

See picture. ---->

Yep. That about covers it.

So today I finally tackled one of the worst areas in my house, the second bedroom.

I threw out SO much junk! I really can't believe how much junk had found its way in there, but I feel much better now that it is gone.

Chris and I moved our office space to a corner of the living room. It wasn't a spot we really had a use for before, and our stuff fits perfectly. Plus, having it out in the open will help me keep it straightened up.

The second bedroom is still that, but Chris is putting his guitars there too. Setting them up so he can easily use them there or in the living room. He says he's more likely to use them more often if he doesn't have to go downstairs. Of course, I had to remind him that said bedroom will eventually be a nursery and we'll have to do this all over again. We'll take that as it comes.

I also printed out this chore list from pinterest. Mine isn't this pretty and I did adjust it a little bit but I like it. I put it in a plastic sleeve so I can use a dry erase marker to check things off as I do them.

I haven't used it as much today as I'd like because we've been decluttering and rearranging. But I did use it a whole bunch last night and I think it's going to help keep me on track.

In other news, Pinterest is addicting.

Have a good rest of your Sunday!

  1. I definitely have to do that! I love reading your posts with natural household cleaning supplies, or organizational things. You have great ideas to share! I look forward to learning more from you down the road. :)
